How to Identify FIREBRATS

Firebrat problems can sometimes signal that you may have other pests. Firebrats look like a silverfish, but slightly larger. They are both slithery, wingless creatures with bodies that are tapered on both ends. They have long antennae and three long tail bristles. Silverfish like damp moderate environments while Firebrats like moist and hot environments. Both move very fast and avoid light.
