We Respond Like EVERY Call Is An Emergency

Identify Pest: Tick Infestations and Tick Problems

tickTicks are a disease-bearing parasite found throughout the New York area. Members of the spider family, they live by sucking the blood of their hosts, whether human or animal. Ticks are vectors of many infectious diseases such as Lyme Disease, Tick Fever, Tularemia (Rabbit Fever), Babesious (a Malaria like illness), Hemolytic Anemia, Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Anaplasmosis, and Encephalitis. Ticks are the biggest carriers of diseases transmitted to people and pets second only to the Mosquito.

Ticks find their way onto hosts by dropping from trees or when a host brushes against bushes and grass. Once attached to a host, they can consume 100 times their body weight in blood. Once they have finished feeding, which can take a few hours or a few days, then they lay eggs. A single Tick can lay over 4,000 eggs in their lifetime.

It takes just one Tick to cause a problem, so it is important to get help to remove them from your property, buildings, and pets. We treat the problem holistically with Integrated Pest Management approaches that attack the problem from multiple angles.
