PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Looking for a career in a recession resistant industry?

On the job training! We’ll make you “the expert” in pest management. You’ll get field training, classroom training and on the job study. You do not need prior experience. You’ll work on assignment with residential customers and/or commercial customers on your route. You will solve pest problems, prevent them and maintain pest free conditions. You’ll share knowledge with your customers.

About You
We don’t just hire anyone! To qualify, you need a minimum of a high school diploma (or GED), excellent (English) verbal and written skills, and have the ability to obtain an applicator’s license and certification. You must follow instructions, be comfortable working alone, and can learn and use IT technology. You will be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, lots of walking, and able to carry up to 50 lbs. You must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record for past 3 years, and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical fitness evaluation and a criminal background check.

We are looking to add energized new professionals to our team to help take our company to the next level. As a Customer Service Professional, you will spend a good part of your day on the phone speaking with our existing customers, prospective customers and technicians in the field. If you have a positive attitude and enjoy helping people, we have an opportunity for you. We pride ourselves on the service we provide to our customers. A minimum of two years customer service and phone sales experience as well as strong current computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.) are required.

In this position, you will resolve customer service issues/questions in a timely and professional manner to enhance customer satisfaction and increase retention. Additionally, you will spend part of your day scheduling service calls, reviewing and optimizing routes and dispatching work to technicians. The ideal candidate is independent, confident and customer-oriented with good time management skills, strong communications ability (both written and verbal), has the ability to provide exceptional customer service, the desire to exceed expectations and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced customer-focused environment and possesses a desire to help promote environmental health and safety.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Answering inbound calls from customers, prospective customers and technicians
– Sell and schedule services
– Communicate with technicians in field
– Communicate with other departments/staff members to maintain route efficiency and a high level of customer service
– Dispatch work to technicians in field
– Maintain customer database
– Provide timely solutions to customer inquiries and problems including payment history
– Responsible for customer retention
– Check in work from technicians
– Other responsibilities as they arise
